They did hatch and we released them long ago - they hatched back in June. They were soooo tiny and cute...about the size of sugar ants and almost transparent. The mom ate until about a week after she laid her last clutch of eggs - there were 5 in all - then we found her passed away. That was in March.

My kids were sad, and buried her in the yard. But when they got to see all her babies they understood.

I was unable to get any pics of the babies cos they were just to tiny for the camera to focus properly. I'm just glad I was able to give my kids the experience. :D
